Process Statement
Mezzotint – the cooper plate was pricked with a mezzotint rocker in several directions in order to get a deep velvety black.Once the entire surface was rocked, the burs created with rocker were gradually burnished to get by subtraction a rich range of values and eventually bring out a shining light.
