Process Statement: Looking at the wakes behind boats, it reminded me of disappearing footprints. Keeping that in mind, I created this piece working reductively on an aluminum litho plate, working and re-working the plate and printing until there was almost nothing left.

Process Statement: Mezzotint – the cooper plate was pricked with a mezzotint rocker in several directions in order to get a deep velvety black.Once the entire surface was rocked, the burs created with rocker were gradually burnished to get by subtraction a rich range of values and eventually bring out a shining light.
